THE STUDIO
Specialising in hip hop / street dance techniques, performance skills, improving confidence and having fun, sessions are designed for dancers from five years through to experienced dancers. Street Dance Sessions has been providing a space for hip hop to grow since 2018.
Sessions are led by Miriana who is a current dancer herself and has many years experience in dance, teaching and choreography.

MEET THE TEAM...
Miriana is the director of STREET DANCE SESSIONS. She is the head teacher and choreographer of all sessions, Street Squad crews and competitive soloists.
Miriana has an extensive dance background with NZAMD qualifications in hip hop, jazz and contemporary. She has been dancing since she was five and started teaching and choreographing at 15 years old.
She has studied with some of the worlds best choreographers, performed and competed nationally and internationally, been a member of The Royal Family, IDCO dance crew and Momentum Productions. She now dances with Bindico
and is a part of the Duality 2023 programme .

Advanced sessions, Squad 24 Junior, Squad 24 (mega crews)
New to the team for 2024, Lucas is passionate about creating choreography and continuing to train and develop as a dancer. He comes with lots of awesome experience, not only in teaching and choreography but also in preparing dancers for competition, music mixing, and shooting and editing videos.
While new to the faculty team, Lucas isn't new to Street Dance Sessions. He joined advanced sessions in 2023 and loved the positive energy and the friendly feel in the studio so is looking forward to being a part of the team and helping our next generation of dancers.
